Orb & Book Still Life

This painting is the third still life in a practice series, for this subject of the orb and book I focused on incorporating color into my photorealistic work and capturing various surface reflections. I'm particularly proud of this artwork, as it turned out exceptionally well. In fact, I printed and framed it for display in my office. The two main challenges I encountered were capturing the reflections and textures of the orb, as well as depicting the delicate gold trim on the book.
