Self-Portrait
Digital Illustration | 2012
This self-portrait was created during my time at Towson University. It served as an early exploration of creating art in Photoshop, utilizing layers and masks to experiment with different techniques.
In this painting, I combined traditional painting techniques with layered colors to achieve a realistic flesh tone, while maintaining thick, expressive lines reminiscent of comic books. I found this combination to be both expressive and visually captivating. At the time, I was fascinated by the possibilities of digital art, particularly in terms of incorporating patterns and layers, and this piece reflects my experimentation with these elements.
