AAAAA... or How I Went Insane

“AAAAA...” or How I Went Insane was a graphic design class project involving selecting a letter (A in this case), creating 100 expressions of it in various forms, and designing a cover and an 18-page magazine layout. The title playfully reflects the overwhelming nature of the project, with the cover featuring rows of titled A’s in a scrolling pattern.
For the magazine layout, I selected the best photos, creating articles related to the letter A or tying them to the A-themed photographs on the pages. The layout alternates in a Z pattern until a big two-page spread on pages 7,8 and 9,10, followed by various layouts for each article. While not all layouts are equally successful, the project's sheer variation offers some enduring designs.
