This project is somewhat hazy in terms of its prompt, but I believe it was related to book illustration. I chose to depict Captain Ahab from Moby Dick in a pivotal moment: entangled in his harpoon line, on the verge of being dragged beneath the waves. Maintaining a high contrast approach, I emphasized the dark shapes of Ahab's body blending into the water and emphasized the texture of the rope.
