Contour Practice

This collection consists of three practice sessions for contour line drawing in Photoshop. Each session focused on a different colored theme, and I traced the lines and major shapes in the photographs.
The first practice session involved a stock image of cliffs by the ocean, used a white background with navy contours and concentrated on capturing the delicate lines as the land receded into the background. For the second practice, I used a photograph of my grandmother's barn, I chose a green background with brown contours that had a mixture of natural lines and straight architectural lines from the barn. While the third session featured a cityscape and bridge with numerous intricate details, I picked a red sunset color background and purple/indigo contours. The cityscape required a significant amount of time, but I was pleased with the final outcome.
