Ink Illustrations | 2012
This project required creating a diptych portrait of two recognizable figures using only ink. While I typically prefer graphite for portrait drawings due to its flexibility for modifications, I found these ink portraits to be quite successful. Utilizing an ink pen with different nib sizes allowed me to crosshatch and create lines of varying thickness, although I encountered some challenges with smaller details. Towards the end of the project, I decided to enhance the background by stenciling my drawing and flicking ink with a toothbrush to add texture.
