Here's another project where I explored working with oil pastels, this time I focused on using richer colors and creating a high contrast image. The only requirement was to create a diptych or triptych composition.
For this particular project, I used a reference image of a fountain that I had saved as a stock photograph. I took the concept further by incorporating a cityscape in the background, expanding the scene. Additionally, I decided to make the triptych peices intentionally mismatched, creating an unfinished puzzle-like effect when displayed. This deliberate unfinished look added a visually captivating element, making the triptych more intriguing than three perfectly matching panels.
