Self-Portrait Distorted
Ink & Graphite Illustration | 2010
This self-portrait holds a special place in my heart as it turned out to be an exciting project. Created using micron pens, which were my go-to at the time, I employed a French curl set design the warped linework that formed my face. I also go to use crosshatching for shading and some other squiggles to texture the tongue and eye tendrils. It ended up looking like a fun house mirror and I felt captured the essence of my teenage doodle style, bringing it to life in a unique and striking manner.
