Moon Room

Maya | 2011

For the Maya project of creating an interior environment and furniture, I drew inspiration from the distinctive floor texture in the television show "Twin Peaks." I was intrigued by the idea of incorporating a similar floor texture in a bar setting. The resulting project was called "Moon Room," which featured a rectangular shaped bar with a stage at one end.

To populate the environment, I modeled various elements such as the bar counter, railings, bottles, stools, tables, chairs, lamps, ceiling fans, ashtrays, microphones, stage lights, and even a piano with individual keys. Once again, I aimed to create these objects as realistically as possible, as if they were being built in real life.

In addition to creating the furniture and environment, I also staged a prop character for several renders to bring the scene to life. As a fun addition, I created a quick animation where a TARDIS from Doctor Who arrives and an Adipose (a creature from the show) jumps on the bar counter, only to trip and stumble.

The Moon Room project allowed me to explore interior design in Maya and apply my knowledge of modeling furniture and objects to create a unique and lively bar environment with a touch of inspiration from Twin Peaks and Doctor Who.
