Rhino Train

The prompt for this illustration was to create an animal-machine hybrid. Among several ideas, I was particularly drawn to the concept of combining a rhino with a steam/train engine. It was fun picking out parts of a train and grafting them into the rhinos anatomy in places where it made sense. It showcases diverse textures, such as the rhino's skin, the metal grills and grates and the detailed shading of the smoke, which made the drawing process enjoyable.
